Shelley Chamberlain PMHNP-BC
Shelley Chamberlain is a seasoned psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with over 17 years of diverse clinical experience. Her journey in the field of mental health began as a mental health technician in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, where she gained invaluable insights into the complexities of psychiatric care while pursuing her nursing degree.
After completing her nursing education, Shelley's dedication and passion for psychiatric nursing led her to the Vanderbilt School of Nursing, where she was accepted into the Master's program. In 2011, she graduated with a Master's degree, further solidifying her expertise in psychiatric care.
Throughout her career, Shelley has worked across various clinical settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, private psychiatric practices, and community mental health centers. This extensive exposure to patients from diverse backgrounds and across the lifespan has equipped her with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Shelley's approach to psychiatric care is rooted in a holistic perspective. She recognizes that true healing involves addressing all aspects of an individual's life. While she acknowledges the importance of medication in managing psychiatric conditions, she firmly believes that optimal outcomes are achieved through a comprehensive treatment approach.
